GMS sponsors Moonrise Film Festival July 13-15
The Moonrise Film Festival showcases independent documentaries from the Philippines, by Philippines artists, on issues directly pertaining to the Philippines . This festival has never been to the Pacific Northwest , so please come out and support! This collection of independent films, documenting the country’s luscious landscape and increasing danger of environmental degradation, is coming into its third year as a critically-acclaimed tradition. The Moonrise Film Festival was originally organized by the Center for Environmental Awareness and Education (CEAE), based in Quezon City, in order to address critical environmental issues facing the country’s heritage and future. It has been brought to Portlandin orderto bring awareness of the Philippines’ environmental potential and peril.

Happy Earth Day 2007! Earth Day provides us a good reminder that every action we take as a company or as individuals - no matter how small - can truly make an impact. The proliferation of green and sustainable products on today’s market is evidence of the massive power we as consumers have to initiate change. GMS Proud to Sponsor Fourth Grade Foresters USA at 3 Metro Area Schools

GMS was very excited to play a part in helping three area schools celebrate Arbor Day and encourage kids to take action in preserving the natural environment. Students in five classes were given trees to take home and plant in commemoration of Arbor Day. These new trees can be added to the millions of seedlings that have been planted since 1885 creating a unique forest planted by generations of American children.

Given the urgency of the global warming crisis GMS feels it is important to promote awareness in our community, and emphasis that every action taken, no matter how small, can add up to big changes.

2006 Tradeshows Deliver Exciting Opportunities

GMS was excited to be a part of both Brownfields 2006 in Boston, MA and the Northwest Environmental Conference in Portland, OR. Both tradeshows provided us with an excellent opportunity to spread the word about our exciting green and sustainable products and services for soil stabilization, soil optimization, contaminted soil remediation, organic waste clean-up, and agricultural development.
